Our Commitment
AODA Training is committed to ensuring that our website, platform, and all digital services are accessible to everyone β including people with disabilities. We believe accessibility is not a feature; it is a fundamental right.
We are working continuously to improve the digital experience for all users in accordance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.
Standards We Follow
Our website and platform are designed and maintained to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines define how web content can be made more accessible to people with visual, auditory, physical, cognitive, and neurological disabilities. We assess our content against the four principles of accessibility: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust.
Our accessibility programme covers:
- β Keyboard navigation for all pages and interactive elements
- β Screen reader compatibility tested with NVDA (Firefox) and VoiceOver (Safari)
- β Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.1 AA minimums (4.5:1 for body text, 3:1 for large text)
- β Descriptive alt text on all meaningful images
- β Captions on all video content
- β Accessible forms with persistent labels and descriptive error messages
- β Logical heading structure and skip navigation links
Known Limitations
While we strive for full WCAG 2.1 AA conformance, some legacy content and third-party embedded tools may not yet fully meet all criteria. We are actively working to address these gaps and expect to reach full conformance across all pages by Q2 2026.
Third-party survey and scheduling tools embedded in our platform may have limited keyboard or screen reader support. We are reviewing alternatives and will notify affected users of accessible workarounds.
Older PDF documents published before 2024Β may not be fully tagged for accessibility. We are remediating our document library in order of highest traffic. Accessible versions are available on request.
Requesting Accessible Formats
If you encounter any barrier on our website or platform, or if you require information in an alternative accessible format, we want to hear from you. We will respond within 5 business days with an accessible alternative or a timeline for resolution.
Contact our Accessibility Team
We welcome feedback from all users and use it to continuously improve our accessibility programme.
Third-Party Tools
Our website uses third-party tools for analytics, booking, payment processing, and community features. While we select partners with strong accessibility commitments, we cannot guarantee the accessibility of third-party interfaces. If a third-party tool creates a barrier for you, contact us and we will provide an accessible alternative pathway to complete your task.
Formal Complaints
If you have raised an accessibility concern with us and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Accessibility Directorate of Ontario atΒ ontario.ca/accessibilityΒ or call the ServiceOntario hotline for accessibility-related matters.
Our Ongoing Commitment
Accessibility is a continuous process, not a one-time project. We audit our website annually using a combination of automated tools (axe DevTools, WAVE) and manual testing by trained accessibility specialists. We maintain an internal accessibility roadmap and update this statement whenever significant changes are made to our platform or compliance status.
